The newly launched Australian kid’s activewear and lifestyle range by J+L Lifestyle aims to add life to style.
With sport luxe on trend and pretty much everywhere you look, there’s one audience that activewear isn’t currently catering for and that kids. With so many parents pulling on leggings and actionbacks, it makes sense to offer their kids the same comfortable attire so they can get active too. That’s why last week, J+L Lifestyle launched their first collection Doing It For The Kids. J+L Lifestyle garments are relaxed and hassle-free, yet stylish and comfortable enough to be worn from park to party and everywhere else in between. J+L Lifestyle aims to be the brand you turn to when you’re looking for not just activewear for your kids, but also a range of healthy lifestyle tips. “While J+L Lifestyle makes stylish and comfortable activewear and lifestyle gear for kids aged 1-6, our aim is to add life to style by providing a range of health and wellness information for parents and their kids. Our garments come with swing tags containing sunflower seeds for planting, while we offer creditable and practical health and wellness solutions through our weekly J+L Lifestyle blog,” says owner Caitlin Reid.
As a mother of two, an accredited practising dietitian, accredited exercise physiologist and yoga teacher, Caitlin drew on practical and professional experiences to develop J+L Lifestyle. Her aim for the brand is to inspire as many kids (and families) as possible to be happy and healthy.
“Kids have this amazing ability to live in the moment and to enjoy the simple things in life – everything from bubbles to butterflies. They are interested in learning about life and it’s the perfect time to expose them to delicious and nutritious wholefoods, fun and regular exercise, the wonders of nature and the importance of chillaxing. Call it the J+L Lifestyle if you like,” explains Caitlin.
J+L Lifestyle’s first range Doing It For the Kids is dedicated to all the amazing kids and their parents who made the first collection possible. Each garment is named after one of the kids involved, while Caitlin’s inspiration behind the garments has come from observing her own kids play.
“My son Jack loves to run so the “Catch Me If You” design on The Jack Muscle Tank was inspired by him. My daughter Lucy’s determination for doing exactly what she puts her mind too was behind the “I Can Do Anything” slogan on The Lucy Actionback Singlet. The addition of an infinity sign acts as a reminder for girls to believe it always.”
Currently catering for sizes 2-6 (with the aim to expand size range), J+L Lifestyle offers a boy’s range, girl’s range and unisex range and uses a variety of fabrics in their garments including bamboo, Australian Certified Organic cotton, and active fabrics.
